What can I say about Phil. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend. He loved to joke around. He always helped anyone out that he could. He loved camping. His beloved car in the one separate garage. He loved his pets Frookie, Alex, Oliver and Sammie. Hard worker. Even after he retired he still helped out his former employer and co-workers. He gave so much of himself and hardly asked for anything in return. He enjoyed meeting people who came to buy a Christmas tree. You are missed.

I am honored to have had the opportunity to work with and get to know Phil both remotely and a couple of times in person over the course of 10 years. He often kept the peace between me and my computer and also offered kind and humorous words about the numerous technical situations he helped me through at work. My heart is heavy knowing my friend has left this world. Fly high with the eagles, Phil!!

I want to express my sympathy to Phil's family in this time of sorrow. I also had the pleasure of working with Phil for over 10 years. I met him one time on one of his visits to our Illinois office. We had a nice and friendly working relationship with him over the phone. He was a very kind man. He will be dearly missed. God Bless..

I am sad to hear of Phil's passing, I know he had been facing multiple health issues since he retired and can say his life ended way too soon :(

My sympathy goes out to Phil's family and friends during this time of sorrow. Phil was a genuine soul and I am fortunate to have known and worked with him. I will miss hearing from you! R.I.P. Phil - The seeds you planted will continue to live on.

So sad to hear of this! Phil was a character, to say the least. Although we were no more than coworkers, he and I developed a unique friendship. A buddy, a pistol, a laugh, a frustration, a joke, a friend. Since his retirement from First Eagle, I've truly missed him. Having worked with him for many a years, I was saddened to see him retire however happy for his next chapter, which has been cut way too short. Heaven gained a good one here, no doubt.

Very sad to learn of another classmate's passing. Always enjoyed conversations with Phil when we were in school.
